Ginger Beer – It Tastes Good and Works
Last time I had chemotherapy I become really sick four days after the infusion. That same day I went out and bought some Ginger Beer by the Ginger People (from Cost Plus World Market). Either that worked its magic, or my body was getting better by day 5.
Either way, I was happy with my purchase of four glass bottles for $3.99. There is no comparison between this beverage and a Vernors or Canada Dry. The ginger juice is so potent that you can feel the burn as it goes down the hatch. It tastes very clean, and the sweetener tastes very natural. It’s a different kind of sweet than fructose corn syrup. They must use real cane sugar or something like it.
By the way, despite the name, there is no fermentation or alcohol in ginger beer.

On August 24, 2009, I planted many of the following seeds in our back yard. In just one week, many of them are already 3 inches tall and very happy. I will be following their progress as they produce delicious food for dinner in our own back yard.
